March 11th marked the first installment of the "I Feel ___, I Am ___" Workshop series. A series where we are discovering subconscious limiting beliefs, releasing them, and inviting our true selves forward.
This event is a completely unique creation of what I have gathered over many unique experiences on my own healing path as well as on my experience witnessing others.
I have been reflecting back on the day and feel inspired to share my experience as I find sharing can be a therapeutic part of release and integration.
As a facilitator, I always allow myself to also be a participant. I see these workshops as an opportunity to push against my uncomfortable edges and find new pathways for growth.
In this event, we all had a chance to explore a subconscious self-limiting belief that was holding us back from feeling "I Am Powerful". When I prompted us to share our discovered self-limiting belief to the circle, I had a split second to come up with mine as my consciousness was occupied with guiding others through this process.
I took a deep breath and a deep plunge inside myself and the first thing I heard was the statement...
"I am invisible."
It was completely unexpected and almost didn't make sense as it was coming out of my mouth. After it came out, I couldn't help but notice the irony as I had had 25 pairs of eyes watching me for the 30 minutes leading up to that moment. Yet, there it was.
I recognized that that feeling invisible was a long standing issue for me. It was something that I had already done a lot of work around and made huge progress with. However, leading this event was challenging this old self-limiting program on a new level.
If there was any part left of me that still believed that I was invisible, it was currently meeting a huge challenge as I stood in front of the crowd and experienced that...
"I am seen."
At the end of the event we had time for free-movement where we could explore how it felt to move with our new power. With the intention of bringing forward my new truth that "I am seen," I walked a big circle around the room and looked at each participant directly making eye contact. It felt uncomfortable at first and then euphoric by the end of my lap. I played around with making myself as tall as possible by lifting my arms up and down, by lifting my legs high, and by standing on top of props...
I felt SEEN!
I went into this event with the intention of creating powerful perspective shifts for others, but didn't expect that it would lead to such a powerful experience for myself as well.
I want to thank all of our participants for SEEING ME and I look forward to exploring more at our next installment!
