Post Session Aftercare Guide

Support For Your Unfolding Process

Thank you for saying yes to this work. Whether you just experienced a group session or a private one, it’s important to understand that the session is just the beginning—the shifts that follow are part of the healing, too.

This guide is here to support you in the days after your session, to help you integrate, understand what may be unfolding, and know that everything you're experiencing has a purpose.

Healing Is a Process of Expression, Not Perfection

This work often "flips the switch" on old patterns of suppression—helping you shift into natural expression. We’ve been conditioned to suppress: thoughts, emotions, movements, needs. Over time, that suppression builds tension in the body, mind, and energy system. The session initiates a release—and with that release, comes change.

It’s normal to feel uncertain about what’s happening, and even more normal to be surprised by the ways your system chooses to release. All of it is welcome.

What Change Might Look Like

Even if you can't put your finger on it, something may already feel different. These changes might be subtle at first and show up through:

  • Feeling lighter or more grounded

  • Reacting differently to familiar situations

  • Feeling emotions more fully—or less intensely

  • Noticing different thoughts, impulses, or habits

  • Others responding to you differently

These are signs that your system is realigning.

My invitation is to stay in curiosity. Let go of needing to “figure it out.” Instead, observe. Your only job is to notice. Allow your body and emotions to be your guides.

And above all—have compassion for yourself. This is big work. Be gentle.

The Detox Process

After a session, your system may enter a detox phase. Think of this like a clearing—your body, mind, and energy system are releasing stored stress, tension, and suppressed emotion. It’s completely normal and usually temporary.

Physical Detox

Your body is wise. After a session, it may begin to clear out old, stagnant energy and stress patterns. This can show up in very physical ways—and that’s a good thing. It means your system is doing its job.

Some people feel extra tired, notice body aches, experience digestion shifts, or even get mild cold- or flu-like symptoms. You may sweat more, have headaches, or find that your skin is breaking out. All of this is your body letting go.

In some cases, people go through what’s sometimes called a “healing crisis.”

This can feel more intense and look like:

  • A short-lived fever

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Deep fatigue

If this happens, don’t worry—it’s not dangerous, and it doesn’t happen to everyone. This is simply your system doing a deep clean. These symptoms usually pass within three days or less, and often, clients notice they feel mentally, emotionally, and energetically much better on the other side—clearer, lighter, more present.

💡The most important thing to remember is: don’t interfere.

Avoid trying to stop or suppress the process with medications, herbs, or excessive “fixing.” Your body is handling it. The best thing you can do is rest and let the process unfold.

Supportive steps:

  • Drink water according to your thirst

  • Eat what feels nourishing and grounding

  • Take an Epsom salt bath or soak your feet if it sounds appealing

  • Sleep as much as you need

  • Listen to your cravings for warmth, stillness, movement, etc.

Trust that your body is intelligent. This is not a sign something is wrong—it's a sign that something is releasing.

Mental Detox

This can feel more intense and look like:

  • Scattered or busy

  • Focused on old memories

  • Unexpected or repetitive

This is your mind “cleaning house.” Try not to overanalyze—just observe. Let thoughts pass through like clouds in the sky, without needing to hold on or make meaning. Curiosity is key here, too.

Emotional Detox

Feelings may rise to the surface:

  • Unexpected emotions out of nowhere

  • Crying, anger, grief, or joy

  • Feeling sensitive or reactive

Feel it to heal it. Let your emotions move. You may find yourself crying, needing to shake or stretch, or wanting to be alone. Allow it. Trust your body to guide the release. The emotion is coming up because it's on its way out.

When Challenges Arise

Sometimes after a session, you might feel like life is testing you. Patterns resurface. You find yourself back in a tough dynamic. These are not setbacks—they’re opportunities. Think of them as the final exit of old energy needing to express itself before it clears for good.

You might:

  • Say something you regret

  • Get unusually triggered

  • Feel like you're “backsliding”

If that happens, here’s my invitation: Don’t resist it. Don’t overthink it. Don’t judge it.

Just notice it. Let it move. It’s part of the release.

This is a powerful moment of alchemy. The more you can stay present without interfering—without “fixing” it—the more energy is cleared.

Self Care Recommendations

Here are a few ways to support your integration:

  • Rest: Your system is doing a lot. Honor your need to pause.

  • Hydrate: Drink clean water to your thirst level to help the energy move.

  • Movement: Gentle walks, shaking, or stretching can help process emotion.

  • Baths: Epsom salt soaks support both energetic and physical detox.

  • Stillness: Journal, lie down, or simply breathe. Create space to feel.

And mostly—listen to your body. Ask what it needs. Trust its answer.
